Installation
Installation
Before installing your new Stator
- Check the AC output of the stator
- Replace any burned or corroded connectors on stator and regulator rectifier
- Check and repair any melted wiring
- Use hi-temp dielectric grease on all connectors
Our stator may use a different wire color code than your original.
All of the wires are installed in the correct order; please do not change any of the wiring configurations.
This stator is designed as a direct plug-in replacement and should be used as such.
When bolting stator in, always use locking compound.
If our stator includes a pickup coil, always make sure the air gap is correct upon installation; we suggest as close as possible no less than 0.010".
Our CDI may use a different wire color code than your original.

This CDI is designed as a direct plug-in replacement and should be used as such.
Before attempting to start your banshee adjusting the air gap is necessary.
Rotate the flywheel so the raised node is lined up with the pick up/pulsar coil and adjust as close as possible but no less than 0.010’’.
Warning:
Risk of electric shock. Disconnect the battery before servicing.
Ensure proper installation by a qualified technician to avoid malfunction.

Fit like factory! The new regulator came with a new backing plate and 2 new connectors, just in case the originals were damaged. As it turns out the positive/negative connector was missing the locking tab on my original. It also seems that all of my electronics are functioning as they should be again. The voltage seems to be holding steady across the RPM range at 14.3v-14.4v! SOLID!

Works on a 2011 KQ 400ASi. The ohm spec on this one is different than OEM spec but it made the ATV run normally. RM Stator was quick to reply to my initial concern about the ohm specs. Note that the cable is slightly longer than the original, but not an issue to tie it up out of the way.
