This part replaces the 4 wire and 5 wire version of the Polaris ACS (Alternator Controlled Switch) on Polaris 500 EFI sleds. If you have a 5 wire version with a Black/White or Brown/White wire, this is unused and can be taped up. The black wire is attached to the mounting bolt/frame.

Battery condition is important. No regulator can make up for a bad or weak battery. If in doubt charge your battery and have it load tested, or simply replace it. ALWAYS START WITH A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY !
