​I recently purchased and installed the MOSFET regulator on my 2002 Honda CBR600F4i. From unboxing to testing, the build quality is top-notch. It completely solved my charging issues, and the voltage now locks perfectly at 14.2V at 5000 RPM. Performance-wise, it’s flawless!
​However, I want to share my installation experience to help other F4i owners, as this is not a simple "plug-and-play" fitment due to its larger size.
​🛠️ My Installation Notes:
​Mounting Location: I noticed some YouTube tutorials suggest mounting this regulator on the side of the engine. I strongly advise against this, especially for riders in hot climates like Taipei, Taiwan. The engine heat in stop-and-go traffic will fry the unit, and there are major clearance issues with the side fairings.
​My Solution: I decided to keep it in the OEM location (rear subframe) for optimal airflow. Because the RMSTATOR unit is much larger, I had to drill new mounting holes and rotate the orientation of the regulator to make it fit.
​Wiring Extension: Due to the new orientation and size, the original wiring harness on the bike couldn't reach the regulator's connectors. I had to manually solder and extend the wires on the bike side to complete the connection.
​Overall: It requires some DIY skills (drilling and extending wires) to fit the F4i properly, but the reliable MOSFET performance is 100% worth the extra effort. I hope my feedback helps your R&D team and provides a better installation reference for future F4i riders!

New stator arrived in the mail pretty quick. Quality of the part looked like oem. Installed it and it is working great. My no spark ussue is fixed now. Only little issue was the plug connector tab wasnt locking in fully so i put a zip tie to help hold it together. Might install the supplied harness plug wich is a very nice addition that came with the stator
