Polaris RZR 900 and 1000 owners have long been looking for a permanent solution to charging system reliability issues. Polaris has long known about the unreliable charging system on these models, and has attempted a few fixes over the years with no permanent success. This mostly involved attempted voltage regulator improvements, which were a temporary solution on a larger problem. The root of the problem stems from an extremely powerful stator producing 650 watts, paired with a voltage regulator running at maximum capacity, barely able to handle the power of the system and having no breathing room.

The solution comes from re-engineering the problem at the root, with a new type of stator designed to split the load between dual voltage regulators, both operating in their ideal power range. Both regulators consistently operate with 40% overhead for long life, stability, and reliability.

RMSTATOR'S DUAL OUTPUT STATOR SYSTEM

RMSTATOR's Dual Output Stator System works on all RZR 900 and 1000 models, and completely solves charging system reliability issues. It uses the OEM RZR flywheel with a specially designed dual output stator to produce the same 650 watts of power as the original charging system. The dual independent three phase stator windings are each routed through their own high quality wiring harness to separate highly efficient series voltage regulators. The regulators then charge the battery in parallel, sharing the load evenly. You get the same output as your OEM system, with an easy installation that does not require removal of the flywheel. This provides ultimate peace of mind and confidence in your charging system.

Our stator uses an OEM-equivalent core for easy, factory-like installation. All connections are sealed, keyed, and locking type for quick and easy installation.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: This kit includes two wiring harness according to Polaris recal # Z-16-01-C (OEM # 2206620, 2206367,2206473). We strongly suggest you to relocate both of your regulators to make sure they do not wear out prematurely due to mud, dust or rocks.

Installation instructions

Before installing your new stator

  • Check the AC output of the stator
  • Replace any burned or corroded connectors on stator and regulator rectifier
  • Check and repair any melted wiring
  • Use hi-temp dielectric grease on all connectors

Our stator may use a different wire color code than your original.
All the wires are installed in the correct order; please do not change any of the wiring configurations.
This stator is designed as a direct plug-in replacement and should be used as such.
When bolting stator in, always use locking compound.
If our stator includes a pickup coil, always make sure the air gap is correct upon installation; we suggest as close as possible no less than 0.010".

Before installing your new Mosfet Voltage Regulator Rectifier

  • Check the AC output of the stator.
  • Replace any burned or corroded connectors on stator and regulator rectifier
  • Check and repair any melted wiring
  • Use hi-temp dielectric grease on all connectors
