The Tecate appealed to a group of ATV enthusiasts that simply loved them.
Kawasaki basically quit making replacement stators and flywheels and when they were available the set ran somewhere around $400.00 for the flywheel alone and the stator ran from $200.00 - $300.00.
This cost discouraged many a Tecate owner and many Tecates were put to rest.
